Gilded Moon Owl 2

I grew up with barn owls in the attached kitchen of my old New England house, so they hold a special place in my heart.

This original painting is 5x7. It is a series of hand painted lithos - where I start with a light line print, ink and watercolor each uniquely. This one is sepia and black ink as well as line art with fine line pen on watercolor paper. The harvest moon is 24 karat gold leaf applied over a red painted base.

Comes matted in a beautiful gold frame. 

Line art has been my preferred method of working since the beginning of my career. I have consistently delved back into it but always had to maintain my digital career as an advertising illustrator first.  It has not been until recently that I have been able to begin offering original line art pieces for sale.  Art nouveau with a dip pen is where my career began and it’s my core expression. The LEOR series are all originals, each numbered and based on the original line drawing. Each LEOR will be completely unique in inking and media. Some will be framed, some may be matted.
